Dryzone damp proofing cream is a revolutionary material first introduced on to the UK marked some years ago for the control of rising damp. Dryzone comes in the form of a water-repellent cream packed in a 600ml foil cartridge to minimise environmental impact.
The Dryzone cream is introduced by means of a simple applicator gun into a series of holes drilled into the mortar course. Once the Dryzone is installed, it uses the moisture contained in the damp wall to diffuse where it is most needed before curing to form a water-repellent resin. This prevents the damp from rising up the wall.

The Dryzone formulation has been optimised to ensure it is effective on a wide range of mortar types, including the porous and low alkalinity mortars typically found in old Victorian buildings, not all damp proofing creams are the same. Dryzone is also 4 times stronger than other low cost, low strength damp proofing creams.

An effective damp course requires the removal of the contaminated plaster and then re plastering with a sand cement render incorporating Renderguard Gold, Renderguard Gold provides a suitable salt-resistant render for this purpose.

Q & A -

Q - How long until I can Re-render or cement after using the Dryzone Damp Proofing cream?

A - If you are Rendering or cementing straight onto the wall we recommend leaving it 2 weeks to ensure there are no issues,

However, if you are replastering then this can be done very soon after (24hours) using the Dryzone, and we recommend using

Dryshield - and also the DryGrip Adhesive.
